PURPOSE
When you land on Mextizos website, you instantly know what they’re about. They’re an authentic Mexican restaurant and all they want you to know is everything about their menu. They stay very true to the Mexican culture and do their very best to portray excatly what they serve and what their food looks like so you know what you’re getting before you ever step foot in the building.
DESIGN ELEMENTS
With Mextizos, we wanted to stay as close to the culture as possible. With the use of colors like green, red and white, we cater right to the Mexican flag, which also happen to be their brand colors. We also used as much authentic tongue as possible. They’re not a Tex-Mex resturant. Their food comes straight from the heart of Mexico and all their dishes come straight from your abulas cookbook.
USE OF STRONG IMAGES
If you land on their website, you’ll notice one thing very quickly, their pictures are their food. If you sit down at their resturant you’ll notice that the queso fundido in the picture on the website looks exactly like the queso fundido that is set down in front of you. When building their site, we worked closely with servers and cooks to get strong imagery for each and every dish. These images are great for their site, but it also helps with their social media presence. Foodies want to see what their going to eat…so show them!
ONE-PAGE SITE
Not every website needs five to ten pages, some websites can achieve their goal in just one page that gets stragith to the point. We built this site so the viewer could quickly scale through the website, see what the
food is like here and then decide right then and there if that’s what they’re having for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s not always vital to have lots of pages, just get to the point. Afterall, that’s what your viewer is doing!
